Apple Facts

  • Store apples in plastic bags or covered container in the refrigerator
  • Apples keep best at approximately 32° - 40°
  • Preparing sliced apples with ascorbic acid prevents browning
  • Sliced apples may be frozen for later use
  • Six to eight medium to large sized apples are used to make one 9" apple pie

  • Fresh, healthful eating -No preparation needed!
  • Baked Apple - Core, add brown sugar and cinnamon to taste. Microwave for 2-3 minutes.
